Strap on your Moon Boots

As any nail polish lover out here in the blogsphere knows, the thing us polish addicts are after all the time is color selection and color uniqueness. After all, that is what the nail polish industry is all about right? If it were up to us, and we could, we would change color daily would we not? Well thanks to China Glaze and their Holographic color selection, now we can apply one color en enjoy multiple colors at the same time.
Under ambient light, you can appreciate the medium blue metallic.

As you can very well judge by the swatch pictures under different lighting conditions, this holographic nail polish really does come to life under direct sunlight. I like shimmery colors very much, so to my taste, this color selection came as a pleasant surprise.
Under direct sunlight, you can appreciate the different colors come to life. I could see some green, yellow and blue sparkles.

Under fluorescent lighting, the color is darker, more blue-greyish shimmer metallic.

I personally think this has to be one of the best colors I have purchased so far. It is a little hard to apply. As always, I buff, prime coat, base coat and apply three layers before applying the top coat. I almost always use Seche-Vite top coat, but for this color, I used Orly top coat because the color is so thin, applying a heavy thick top like Seche Vite would easily ruin the previously applied layers. . This China glaze color applies very very thin, almost invisible on the first coat. Second coat will come on like a regular first and you will appreciate it's sheer beauty only after the third coat. This is definitely a summer color, you will enjoy it very much wearing it outdoors.
